In this kit are drill blocks that attach to the appropriate table or bed. They use the single existing hole. You can drill two new holes using the block as a guide. Consequently, you tap the holes and install the new mount. In the case of the mill column and the lathe leadscrew, you would have to install a new leadscrew.

All the nuts and screws for motor mount attachment. CNC-ready means the machine is ready to bolt on stepper motors and apply CNC control to them by means of a system that the user must supply. Due to minor wear, these blocks are not hardened. They will only be used once or twice as a result, hardening is not imperative.
